Am I eligible?
Community Ride Hub is for people who find buses, trains or getting out hard — not for anyone who simply wants a cheap taxi.
This is not a booking service yet
Community Ride Hub is preparing to operate. This page describes a proposed service. Journeys cannot yet be arranged, and nothing here is an offer of transport.
You may be able to join if…
- You are older and find the bus difficult
- You are disabled — including wheelchair users and people with sight, hearing, memory or learning difficulties
- You are seriously ill and need help getting to treatment or appointments
- You find it hard to travel on your own
- You feel cut off because you cannot get to shops, friends or appointments
- A doctor, social worker, school or day centre is supporting you with travel
- You help someone in one of these situations and travel with them
Schools, colleges, day centres and community groups can also travel with us as a group — see Member groups.
Exact rules will be confirmed when our permit is issued. For more detail on Community Ride Hub Connect, see Who can join Connect.
Things we will ask about
- Your situation
- Why ordinary transport is hard for you.
- Where you live
- Whether you live in the area we cover — mainly the London Borough of Brent and neighbouring areas. The exact boundary is still [TBC].
- Evidence (if you have it)
- Things like a Blue Badge, Taxicard or PIP mobility can make joining quicker. No paperwork? You can still ask — we may use a short form instead.
- Who can apply
- You — or a family member, carer, doctor or social worker with your okay.
Not sure?
You do not have to decide alone. Tell us you need help, or ask your GP / social worker to refer you. We would rather explain kindly than leave you guessing.
