Community Ride Hub Connect

Help getting to the shops, friends, the GP and everyday places — if buses and trains are hard for you.

Not running journeys yet

We are still setting Community Ride Hub Connect up. You cannot book a ride today. You can tell us you need help, download the draft application, or ask a doctor or social worker to refer you.

In simple terms

Membership contributions and journey charges have not been set.

You ask for a ride in advance. We pick you up from your door. You may share the vehicle with other people going a similar way. There is no cash on the bus. Any extra charge for a wheelchair has not been set.

On a low income? Concession membership is for you. Its contribution has not been set.

  • For people who find ordinary public transport hard
  • Book ahead — not like waving down a taxi
  • Shared rides where that makes sense
  • Phone booking will always be available — you will not need an app
  • A carer or companion can travel with you when you need them

Who is this for?

Connect is for people who struggle with buses or trains because of things like:

  • Disability or difficulty walking
  • Using a wheelchair or mobility aid
  • Getting older and finding travel harder
  • Sight, memory or learning difficulties
  • Feeling cut off because you cannot get out

Not sure if that includes you? That is okay. Read who can join, or tell us you need help and we will explain.

What you need to know

  • Joining does not mean unlimited rides whenever you want — we aim to be fair when we are busy
  • We start in a local area first, not all of London
  • Shopping, visiting family, community groups and many GP-type appointments — yes
  • Regular hospital, school or day-centre runs usually need a different Community Ride Hub service
  • This is Community Ride Hub’s own service — not TfL Dial-a-Ride
