How to join

You can join online, by post, or by phone when we are ready — because not everyone finds forms easy.

This is not a booking service yet

Community Ride Hub is preparing to operate. This page describes a proposed service. Journeys cannot yet be arranged, and nothing here is an offer of transport.

Ways to apply

  • Online

Use the form on this page. It records your application so we can process it — journeys cannot be arranged yet.

  • By post / download

Download the draft Connect application PDF, complete it, and email or post it back.

  • By telephone

When we publish a phone number, a Community Ride Hub team member can take the application with you on the call.

Whichever route is used, a family member, carer or professional may apply on someone's behalf, provided the person has consented or, where they lack capacity to consent, provided consent is given in line with Community Ride Hub's data protection policy. Applying for someone else does not remove the need for their information to be accurate and current.

What Community Ride Hub will ask for

  • Identity details for the person joining
  • Fast-track evidence where available, or a short travel-needs assessment if not
  • Mobility and accessibility needs, so journeys can be planned safely
  • Essential companion / escort needs
  • An emergency contact
  • Any health information relevant to travelling safely
  • Details of anyone applying or acting on the member's behalf, and their relationship to the member

For Community Ride Hub Connect we are drafting a short Route A (evidence) path and a fuller Route B (assessment) path — see How to apply for Community Ride Hub Connect. This is special category data under data protection law, and Community Ride Hub will explain, at the point of asking, what it is used for, who sees it, how long it is kept, and the lawful basis for processing it. What happens after an application is submitted, and how long a decision takes, is [TBC].

Online membership application

What happens to what you send

This form records your membership application so we can process it. It includes health and mobility information where you choose to give it, which is held securely and used only to assess membership and plan safe travel. Journeys cannot yet be arranged, and a published telephone number and postal application route are not yet available.

Give us an email address or a telephone number — at least one.

In your own words — for example why community transport may be needed. Do not upload documents here.

Optional special-category data — for example wheelchair, walking frame, assistance dog, or help from door to door.

Only what is needed for safe travel. This is special-category data and is held securely to assess membership.
